OUR BOARD MEMBERS 

        All of our board members have been dedicated to this foundation since its inception. Dr. Katy W. Carlsen has been an active pediatrician in the Sacramento region for over 25 years and has served as this foundation's president since 2012. Dale Carlsen built Sleep Train Mattress Centers from the ground up and ran the business for several decades before handing the reins over to the Mattress Firm corporation. During his tenure, he initiated several charitable outreach programs that are still in place today. He serves as this foundation's treasurer in addition to his other endeavours. Beth Carlsen is no newcomer to charity work. She has been involved in multiple programs and has taken a special interest in supporting the arts programs and child welfare organizations for many years now.

         The remaining members of our advisory board start with Chase Evans who is now a Business analyst for the CITy of Santa Barbara. after working as a project resource analyst for Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Azusa Pacific. Our next member is Meghan Carlsen Evans earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Public Health Science and Religious Studies from Santa Clara University. She is currently pursuing doctoral degree of Clinical Psychology at the University of California in Santa Barbara. Our final member is Joseph "JP" Carlsen who studied sociology at Pepperdine University for two years and graduated from University of California at Irvine in 2020 with a degree in Criminology, Law and Society in 2020. All members of our advisory board share a profound interest in giving back to the community and investing in programs which strive for that goal.
